L'ardoise sur Lamballe

Never disappointed by the menu, always very good and the staff is very professional

Discovered by chance during a stopover in Lamballe. Would you ever think of having a good lunch opposite the train station? Probably not...😉. Well, that's a prejudice to reconsider regarding the menu. A nice menu, but I chose the andouillette (my personal egg mayonnaise test 😉). A pleasant visual surprise: beautiful, unique fries, and an andouillette with plump, juicy sausages that didn't come from a factory that calibrated a tube to a certain size. Second part of the test: good bread 👌. So rare! Pleasant and efficient service. My advice: don't hesitate to go in!

With my aperitif, I was treated to a small snack, a very pleasant surprise. The main course was also very appetizing. The dessert was pure bliss. I highly recommend this friendly establishment.

Finally, a proper plate of vegetables, prepared exactly as you ask! Seasonal produce. And a great atmosphere!

A fantastic find, discovered by chance over the Ascension weekend! I don't think I've ever tasted such a delicious monkfish dish, both the fish itself and the incredible accompaniments. I have a discerning palate, and this "chef's special" truly exceeded all my expectations. The oysters we chose as a starter were delicious. Judging by the empty plates of the other diners and the exclamations throughout the meal, I think I can safely say that this place is worth a visit! As a major bonus, the service was friendly, patient, and kind. The young waitress who looked after us was very pleasant, as were her colleagues. A lovely atmosphere, spotless restrooms... In short, L'Ardoise is an excellent restaurant that I highly recommend. I'll remember it for a long time! 🤩

The staff were lovely. The wine we ordered, which wasn't to our liking, was immediately replaced. The pan-seared foie gras was excellent, and the kidneys were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was a bit cold on the covered terrace overlooking the train station and its giant parking lot in the rain. I think being at the back of the room would be cozier. The menu was great; I recommend this restaurant.

I've already been three times and I'd go back a fourth time without hesitation! There truly is something for everyone, regardless of age!
