L'Arlatan sur Arles

This hotel far surpassed my hopes and expectations. Websites can oversell a place with camera angles and photo edits and I was prepared to be slightly underwhelmed by L'Arlatan. Instead, I found that the hotel, restaurant, bar, and grounds were so phenomenal that the website actually undersold the space. It’s even more incredible in person. Everything was perfect - the comfort, coolness, and beauty of the rooms, the kindness of the staff, the stunning gardens and the phenomenal restaurant. Every detail is thoughtful and perfectly executed. I thought Arles would be a quick trip while passing through Provence but instead I’m already planning my next visit just so I can stay at L’Arlatan again. Thank you for an incredible experience!

We had dinner in the restaurant's courtyard and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere is peaceful, the service is pleasant and friendly, with helpful recommendations. A special mention for the strawberry dessert on the new menu.

The L’Arlatan is going through a Golden Age. This is due to the superb team now running the hotel, one of the most impressive collections of professional hoteliers you are likely to find, and a blessing for this small town. The new chef is amazingly good. The wine selection (Domaine de Deves) is top notch. Whether you are dealing with Maxime and colleagues on reception, or Lara and Pierre and Sarah and colleagues in events and the restaurant, you are in truly exceptional hands. And this team is allowing the L’Arlatan’s natural advantages of location and their superb decor by Jorge Prado to shine all the brighter. Thank you for a superb experience.

We had lunch today in the restaurant's patio. The welcome was as warm as the setting, which is magnificent. The daily menu was very original, and all the dishes served were excellent. We were charmed by the ambiance as well as the inventive and high-quality cuisine. We highly recommend this restaurant in Arles.

How could anyone not fall completely under the spell of this magnificent hotel in the heart of Arles? The Arlatan is not only a place designed to transport you, but above all, an establishment run by true hospitality professionals. From the telephone reception and the speed with which we were found a room, to the welcome we received upon arrival, the attention to detail, the manner of speaking, the glassware, and the cleanliness: everything is perfect. I have absolutely nothing to criticize about this place. And what can I say about the tiles… magnificent. Truly. Having stayed in dozens and dozens of hotels, this bold decorative choice with the tiles is a complete success, perfectly integrated into the overall decor. Seriously, congratulations on the choices, congratulations to the team, and congratulations on keeping such incredible places alive in the very heart of Arles. I can only warmly recommend this establishment.

We stopped by for a drink in the courtyard and it was so magical. Wine was superb and the server was kind. Worth a stop while wandering Arles

Restaurant is good, not a wow. Chicken was overcooked, but the sauce was tasty. Lamb confit was tasty. Strawberries dessert was pretty but not substantive in texture or flavor. Design was beautiful, great rooms, fun and lively.

The place and the very pleasant welcome are worth discovering. I was disappointed by the presentation of the rum baba and the chocolate éclair.

Quirky but nice. It has an interesting tile layout throughout the hotel.
