L'Artisan - Bistrot Moderne sur Vitre

We were a little worried after reading the review, but we weren't disappointed at all! On the contrary, the service was fast and the food excellent; we recommend it 100%!

Very good, good food, good atmosphere, fast and pleasant service

We had lunch in a charming little courtyard, surrounded by medieval walls. The restaurant is very pleasant, the food simple and good, and the service excellent. I highly recommend it!

Excellent food, cooked over a brazier. The terrace is extremely pleasant. The cheese platter was generous and delicious! We were a little disappointed by the price of some items, especially the drinks: over €8 for a small non-alcoholic cocktail… Everything was very good, except for the price of the small drink, which inflated the bill.

We arrived at a very pleasant and charming patio. The staff were very kind and friendly, and then we placed our order. The Camembert we shared as an appetizer was very good, but the main courses were a real letdown. We were extremely disappointed with the portion sizes! We thought the prices were high when we looked at the menu before ordering, but we were waiting to see, and we certainly did! €22.50 for a piece of beef that was RIDICULOUS, half a duck breast for €20, and a burger for €18 that was no bigger than a Big Mac at McDonald's. In short, paying for a good meal isn't a problem when you get value for your money, but this is ridiculous. So, no dessert, no coffee. And above all, I would advise anyone looking for a good deal on food to avoid this place. What a shame!

Passing through Vitré, we came to L’Artisan on the recommendation of our hotelier. The service was friendly and efficient. The grilled meats were excellent, and the desserts were original. A great experience that I highly recommend.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, the meal excellent (the grilled prawns with their crisp vegetables were incredible), and the staff were really friendly. I can't wait to go back.
