A truly delightful stay, starting with the warm welcome and then the exquisite food during an exceptional dinner, flavors that told a story throughout the meal. A truly rejuvenating stay at the Auberge Basque Calm and peaceful… we relaxed blissfully in our room with its magnificent balcony/bay window overlooking La Rhune mountain. Very comfortable bedding, thoughtful touches, Sothys products… we would have gladly extended our stay… The breakfast was delicious and wonderful… a wide variety of local options… We will be back soon to savor these peaceful and relaxing moments again… Thank you…

We came as a couple for an evening at the restaurant only. The welcome was very pleasant, the dining room very modern and contemporary, and all the tables were occupied. The service was quick and professional. The amuse-bouches were original, and the surprise menu (which we chose if offered) was delightful. Beautiful rooms, tastefully decorated and well-maintained. Dinner was well-planned and balanced, and the welcome was very pleasant and warm. Breakfast was outstanding, varied, and fresh. We had a wonderful weekend!

I had booked a "Romantic Evening" package. Having declined the half-day e-bike rental for practical reasons, we were kindly upgraded to a room. The welcome was both professional and relaxed, both at reception and in the restaurant. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The "culinary hike" was a delightful discovery, served with a smile and professionalism, and perfectly timed. The Chef offers unique and sometimes complex flavor combinations, but they are well worth trying. The only slight drawback was a small imbalance between savory and sweet dishes; we would have preferred one more appetizer and one less dessert, but everything was delicious, so it's easily forgiven. We appreciated the conversation with the Chef at the end of the meal, where he explained his approach, which focuses on local and seasonal products. As for breakfast, the buffet was both varied and high-quality, featuring local and homemade products. In short, a wonderful romantic getaway that lived up to its promises.

Three days spent at this hotel - The place is in dire need of a facelift, maintenance (including the garden), and renovations. It's not up to the standard of a Royal Château. - The food: we stayed here a few years ago and had very fond memories. Disappointed this time: they need to rediscover their creativity. A shame.
