Unfortunately, I never got to try this restaurant.
It's disheartening to realize upon opening that you're treated like an alien if you haven't made a reservation beforehand. Travelers passing through for just a few hours, you'll never know about this restaurant either. Remember to book several weeks in advance, and carefully plan where you'll be at a specific time on a specific day to avoid missing out.
It would be so much simpler to keep a table or two without reservations, but apparently, we live in a world where ensuring a profitable meal is paramount, even at the expense of missing out on passing customers. Best of luck to you.

We highly recommend this restaurant with its ocean view. We enjoyed a family lunch outdoors and savored the house specials. Whether fish or meat, everything was delicious.
It's clearly stated upon arrival that there's no children's menu. So, one dish for two is more than enough. Kudos to the chefs for the delectable food and to the waitresses for the excellent service!

Everything was perfect. Wonderful welcome, delicious meals for young and old. A friendly, intimate restaurant where you feel right at home. The menu is varied, with just the right amount of choice. Homemade cuisine. The view of the harbor is lovely and pleasant.
Highly recommended! And we'll be back as soon as possible...

While visiting the island,
This restaurant is very well located opposite the port with a beautiful view.
We received a very warm welcome.
I recommend the baked Camembert appetizer – delicious and original 😋
The dishes were very good and well-prepared, it's a bit of a shame about the non-homemade fries.
The only negative point was the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream; it wasn't up to the restaurant's usual standard, good but of the same quality as a mass-produced dessert.

We went to Auberge de César on the recommendation of a staff member at our hotel, and we're so glad we did! Thanks to Léa for the tip 🙂
The restaurant is located in a side street overlooking the port of L'Herbaudière. We didn't get to enjoy the view at night, but we imagine it's fantastic during the day!
The restaurant has a really warm atmosphere, and the hostess is very welcoming. We felt completely at ease throughout our meal.
We had a wonderful meal: cod for my wife, and monkfish cooked in a wood-fired oven for me. Profiteroles and chocolate fondant for dessert.
We highly recommend it!
