I've rarely eaten so well, without superfluous decoration and with a heartiness I wouldn't have expected from French cuisine. The value for money is also good. While the starters aren't exactly cheap (€15-18), the portions are relatively large. The main courses are also reasonable (€20-28) and can be roughly divided into two groups: meat and ravioli/gnocchi. The meat was excellent, the ravioli was divine. The desserts—like everywhere here on the Côte—were very good but overpriced. Service was OK, the place was very well maintained—all in all, less of a "restaurant" and more—as we would say here—a recommendable country inn.

The place is very pleasant and has parking. We had lunch under the olive trees on the terrace. The menu on the large blackboard looked very tempting. We ordered a starter and a main course: two salads with sliced ​​raw artichokes and Parmesan, and three homemade ravioli with porcini mushroom sauce. The starter was terribly underseasoned, and the Parmesan was bland. The ravioli stuffed with green vegetables were beautiful; the porcini mushroom sauce was actually the sauce for the stew also served on the menu. When we asked, it seemed that there had been a swap of dishes/sauces, as neither the appearance nor the taste of the three dishes ordered matched the description. A person, who appeared to be the manager of the place, explained to us that they add porcini mushrooms to the stew sauce, and that they must have melted, so we had to look carefully in the dish... There were no porcini mushrooms and no taste of porcini mushrooms! In short: a huge disappointment, we won't be returning.
