It's difficult to judge because we had very good memories, and we encountered the same waiter from 10 years ago, but he was very unpleasant, practically annoyed by our questions, and the food wasn't up to the same standard (good ingredients, but poorly cooked). The positive point is the owner, who is incredibly kind and helps maintain the warm atmosphere.

Overall, a good time, it's a shame the waiter lacked a touch of cheerfulness and that the meat in the main course was a disappointment. Luckily, the starter and dessert made up for it.

For me, it's one of the best, not the best restaurant in the Arcachon Basin… Having left the Arcachon Basin more than 10 years ago, we make sure to come back every summer to treat our taste buds. A meal at Eric Thore's is part of that pilgrimage… We enjoy seeing the friendly owner and the always very professional waiter. 👍🏾👌🏾

We chose the tasting menu to discover the chef's cuisine. We weren't disappointed; the amuse-bouche was excellent and perfectly prepared our palates for what was to come. The dishes were of high quality with just the right touch of zest to elevate them. A very good restaurant; we will gladly return to try the rest of the menu.

The value for money is practically unbeatable. We highly recommend this place; don't hesitate, go in droves and with your eyes closed. The price range indicated below includes two set menus, starter, main course, dessert, two aperitifs, and two coffees.
07/05/2026: A pure moment of bliss! The setting is magical, right on the lake. The cuisine is exquisite, with original flavors that pleasantly surprise the palate. The welcome was warm from beginning to end. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience.

02/06/2026: Still as good as ever, with generous portions and plenty of choice. Great, very friendly team.
31/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the team, and a special mention to Anthony, the waiter, who greeted us with a great sense of humor. The team managed our arrival as a very large group very well, which isn't always easy. The food was perfect, with a wide selection of hot and cold savory buffet items, as well as main courses and desserts. We had a wonderful evening.
