L'Autrefois Restaurant sur Salon-De-Provence

Always satisfied with the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Everything is very good. However, I do have one complaint, not about the table service, but about the waitress who took our payment. Her manner of speaking to us was very rude and condescending. It's the first time this has happened, but it was unpleasant enough to mention.

Having been a regular at the L'Autrefois restaurant in Aix-en-Provence, where the manager is so pleasant and says a word to every table, and the two waitresses are also extremely friendly, I was disappointed. My first time in Salon-de-Provence was disappointing. One waitress was cold, another practically invisible, just clearing two plates, and the gentleman was the same. The recipes were almost identical, but I found the presentation much less inviting. The leeks lacked sauce, the dishes weren't very hot, and the second carafe of water, on the other hand, was lukewarm. I also found the desserts less fresh and appealing. It just goes to show how important the chef is, even for a similar restaurant. The proximity of the neighbors at the tables, extremely close together, was also very bothersome, while on the other side of the buffet, the dining room was practically empty. I would have almost preferred to eat outside.

The starters were average. The tripe and trotters: the trotters were visibly overcooked and had disappeared into the pot, leaving them fibrous (I've cooked them before, so it was just okay). The beef stew was good, and the desserts were quite good. Overall... I was a little disappointed... 🙄

No Corsican cheese, more figateli and brousse would have given one more star

A lovely evening themed around Corsica. The food was excellent, featuring authentic, traditional dishes. The Corsican charcuterie and cheese were top-notch. The only thing missing was a touch more Corsican decoration to complete the theme. Congratulations to the management and staff of this wonderful establishment.

A waiter for lunch who was too slow; aperitif arrived halfway through the meal.

A very nice place to eat, a small buffet, very pleasant, quiet and charming, not crowded, good products and well prepared, very satisfied

I am very satisfied with my visit to this restaurant, it was my first time and I will come back.

Great concept, quality cuisine, limited selection guarantees homemade food, I recommend it
