L’Avocette — Royan Located at 100 Boulevard de Lattre de Tassigny in Royan, L’Avocette offers refined cuisine in a contemporary setting. The non-alcoholic "Pomme d’Api" cocktail is subtle yet pleasant. The confit chicken gizzard fritters were excellent, and the duck leg was tender, melt-in-your-mouth, and served with a flavorful sauce. For dessert, the "light chocolate, raspberry, and almond crunch" beautifully showcases its two main flavors. The dishes are presented with particular care. The Escapade menu offers good value for money. The staff is polite, friendly, and welcoming. The restaurant also boasts a large terrace, despite its location at a busy intersection. The food was good quality and presentation. The cod carpaccio was a little lacking in fish compared to the potatoes. Unfortunately, even with a €42 set menu... there was no amuse-bouche! The owner's clumsy decision to state that amuse-bouches are exclusively reserved for those ordering an aperitif seems shameful for a restaurant of this caliber! Many similar restaurants offer an amuse-bouche.

It was excellent from the amuse-bouche to the dessert, with friendly service to boot. We had a lovely evening. We highly recommend it.

We went to this restaurant this weekend after staying at the Hôtel Croisette in Royan. The owner's welcome was very friendly and cheerful. We were initially seated on the terrace, but due to a cancellation, she offered us a table for two inside. The wind was starting to get chilly. The meal was excellent in every way. The starter, main course, and dessert were all perfect, as was the service. Congratulations to the chef and to you, Madam, for going the extra mile to ensure every customer is satisfied. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely return. Thank you for the excellent service and meal. I highly recommend it. Sincerely

One of Royan's most delightful restaurants. The menu is subtly updated and changes with the seasons. The dishes are refined and delicious. Not a single flaw. A reasonably priced wine list. And the owner pampers you like you're at home. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
