Le 1900 sur Grenoble

I always stop to have a coffee and admire this beautiful Place Notre Dame.

I love this bar, one of the few establishments of its kind in Grenoble with such a history and atmosphere.

What can I say?! Could I possibly do justice to the 1900? Could I even choose between praising the place itself—so warm and charmingly old-fashioned—or its clientele—as eclectic as they are friendly and kind—or its restaurant—serving exceptional, refined, neo-regional cuisine—or Seb, the owner, whose corny (but nonetheless delightful) jokes are only rivaled by the legendary flemmenkuches of his homeland? I don't know, I'm completely lost 🥹. But I'm like the bird, I'm going back to drink, not just fresh water, the bird...

Having just arrived from Toulouse, we were invited to this unassuming place. However, the cocktails, tapas, and terrace won us over from the very first sip, the first bite, and the first second. This spot in Notre Dame is an invitation to escape the everyday in a pleasant setting. The service is as exceptional as the experience itself. If you're looking for generosity, friendliness, and fun in Grenoble, I highly recommend it! No need to go to Chaille to find a good bar ;)

Since the change of ownership, everything is perfect 🤩 Ideal location on the square, quality cuisine with good ingredients. Excellent value for money. I will gladly return.
