I highly recommend this restaurant. Impeccable service, very friendly and polite. They were very attentive to our requests. The cuisine was excellent, refined, and delicious. A very pleasant surprise.

For us, a stay in Bagnoles-de-l'Orne without having lunch at Le Comptoir is unthinkable.
For the view of the lake, of course, but not only that.
The staff is welcoming and efficient.
We've tried different dishes and desserts and have never been disappointed.
It's easy to park nearby, which is a bonus.

A great experience if you've never had Covid. However, everything is so bland that I experienced the same thing as during the first lockdown. It's also suitable for construction workers looking for insulating foam, as the bread is stale, perfect for soaking up the bland sauce on your plate. Even my chocolate fondant was waterlogged...
However, the view is superb, and the staff are very friendly. So please do something about your food.

A delicious break at Comptoir JOA in Bagnoles-de-l’Orne. A magnificent setting overlooking the lake, flavorful cuisine, friendly service, and a delightful gourmet coffee to finish off the meal. A great place to discover during a stroll in Bagnoles! 🍽️🌹✨

We came yesterday for Father's Day. I wanted to thank the servers who were there that day, especially the gentleman with whom we were able to chat so easily and with a smile. Thank you to the chefs for the exquisite and refined cuisine at very reasonable prices for the quality.
We can't wait for mussel season to be at its peak so we can come back with the family.
