04/05/2026: I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel La Belle Epoque and I was very satisfied with my experience. The restaurant service is of very high quality. The dishes offered are varied and beautifully presented, with balanced menus to suit different tastes. You can feel the particular attention paid to the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the meals, which makes every moment in the restaurant enjoyable. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and professional. Customer service is truly a strong point: the team is attentive, available, and ensures that your stay is as pleasant as possible.

04/05/2026: On March 30th, I had the opportunity to stay at the Roc au Chien Hotel. It's an excellent place for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The hotel stands out for its warm welcome and attentive staff. The rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated, offering a cozy atmosphere ideal after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is well-located, providing easy access to the main points of interest while remaining in a peaceful setting. The breakfast is varied, with fresh products that allow you to start the day off right.

01/05/2026: If opening a bag of salad and croutons is cooking... then the pizzas are just average. With a little more effort, it could be great. The place is nice.

21/04/2026: Perfect service, very friendly and smiling. Excellent dishes, generous pizza and the salmon, rice and vegetable dish was superb. We ate outside overlooking the lake! I highly recommend it.

01/03/2026: The hotel is very well located, with parking, a decent room for the price, and a comfortable mattress. It was very quiet. Breakfast was simple. The welcome was very warm. Dinner at the hotel restaurant in the evening was also very pleasant, with delicious dishes.

15/04/2026: Room with uncleaned bathrooms. Used soap from the previous guest in the shower. Hair that wasn't mine in the bed. A sign asking guests to leave the water running to heat it up, due to the building's age. Outdated room. Spa overpriced considering the overall services. The hotel was very quiet, however, as it was empty. A "sales pitch" inviting me to pay €50 for exclusive use of a spa that no one books, effectively erasing my fleeting memory of this stay. Avoid this place. There are better options for the same price, spa included.

15/04/2026: We booked this hotel using a Smartbox gift voucher. The welcome was very genuine, straightforward, and friendly. The room was a good size and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent, and a special mention goes to the very professional and attentive waiters. We recommend it for exploring the city.

02/05/2026: Excellent value for money (a minor drawback was the frozen fries). The staff are very friendly. The setting is beautiful with its view of the lake. We had a lovely evening. 👍🏻

21/03/2026: We stayed for two nights. We received a poor welcome from the owner upon arrival. She managed to smile a little more in the following days. The room was dated, with a bathroom door that didn't close properly and peeling paint in places. We went to the restaurant the first evening. The menu was nice, and the food was good overall, but it was a shame that the "homemade" fries were actually frozen "homemade" fries.

07/03/2026: A very good experience; the manager is very friendly, as are the staff. The rooms are pleasant, comfortable, and very clean. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

09/04/2026: We came just for a drink on the terrace. We asked for a fruit beer. The waiter told us they had Leffe Ruby. When the beer was served, I pointed out to the waiter that the glass wasn't a Leffe Ruby (see photo if I manage to post it, for those in the know...). He told me to ask the owner when I paid. When I mentioned it at the checkout, the owner told me she had the recipe to make it herself in several flavors (I didn't know such nonsense could be invented). She confirmed this and charged us 4 euros for the so-called Leffe Ruby, which was actually a very basic beer with just a tiny bit of syrup. Furthermore, a dog had urinated on the floor in the restaurant. It really doesn't leave a good impression.

31/03/2026: Great restaurant, I go there as a tradesman on my lunch break and the welcome is great, as well as the prices are reasonable, which is becoming rare in Bagnoles-de-l'Orne... I recommend it without hesitation!
