First visit to an Alsatian Baeckehof! A typical, traditional place that, of course, showcases its specialty in several varieties. A wonderful discovery with the fish Baeckehof, which I was delighted with, as were my wife and our friends (the three of them opted for the lamb confit). I will definitely be back to try the other versions.

The setting is traditional and the service is attentive. The baeckeoffe is good and well-presented, though slightly overcooked. Be aware, however, that the price of carafe wine is significantly higher than what neighboring establishments charge. At €21.50 for a half-bottle of Pinot Noir, it's nearly the same price as a full bottle at nearby competitors.

The staff and restaurant were friendly. The major drawback, and the main issue, was the food, which we found mediocre. There was far too much green salad when you ordered a salad as a main course. The cheese baeckeoffe lacked flavor and meat. It's a shame because we were really looking forward to trying it.

A highly recommended spot for all baeckeoffe lovers. Both the traditional and seasonal baeckeoffes are delicious and generous. A tip: try the veal baeckeoffe with chanterelles. Friendly service and the "inauguration" of the first terrace of the season on February 27th. Chocolate mousse for dessert!

28/03/2026: A very good Alsatian winstub. The portions are generous and quite affordable despite the very central location. The tables are a bit close together; it's cozy but might be uncomfortable for some.
28/03/2026: The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. The dishes were typical Alsatian fare. I particularly recommend the excellent strudel dessert. Light and incredibly delicate! 🤩
