Always consistent… a sure bet when you want to eat seafood in La Rochelle

My favorite restaurant in La Rochelle. Come several times to experience the different rooms, each carefully decorated with a nautical theme. Impeccable service, top-quality ingredients, delicious cuisine—in short, it has everything! I think it's best to book in advance.

The restaurant was recommended to us, so we decided to try it. When we arrived, we were perplexed by the unprofessional welcome. It was neither welcoming nor warm. We saw four different people. We did appreciate the decor and the atmosphere. My husband ordered a Mojito cocktail for €10.50 – unfortunately, it was mostly sugar and ice, with only two mint leaves as garnish, a first disappointment considering the price. We asked for mineral water, but we weren't offered a bottle to pay for, so we didn't have that option and had to ask again because it had been forgotten. For our main course, my husband ordered a seafood casserole for €29.50. Once all the shells were removed, there wasn't much left. Furthermore, no tweezers or finger bowls were provided for shucking. As for me, I ordered a sea bream fillet for €25, which was clearly overpriced given the small portion. For dessert, we both had French toast, but it was rather dry, probably not soaked enough in the filling. The bottle of red wine was good. The bill came to around €125 for two, but we left still hungry. Indeed, for tourists, it might be a good restaurant, but for people who live year-round on the coast, we were disappointed.

I recommend this place; the service is excellent, the food is good, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

For fish lovers. Restaurant entrance near the chain. The interior retains its original character and the staff are very pleasant.

A must-visit if you're passing through. A big thank you to the waitress who took care of our table for dinner, "Les Vezeliens." We hope to return to this establishment one day; keep up the good work!

We had a very good lunch on Sunday. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the menu offers delicious, affordable meals. We highly recommend it (my 17-year-old daughter was delighted with her duck parmentier).
