Le Beffroi sur Ardes

The park was magnificent, and not crowded, which made it lovely to enjoy. The peacocks roaming around the park were very pretty. The "Top of the World" viewpoint is incredible and not to be missed; a little animal followed us, which was very funny. A minor complaint: we had a smoothie at the Top of the World viewpoint, but it wasn't very good, considering the price... But we're not holding it against them; after all, it helps the park. Everything else was really great. We loved it, and we'll be back! :)

A wonderful discovery on Tuesday, May 5th... very few visitors, no doubt deterred by the weather, which was actually quite mild, making for a most pleasant visit with the feeling of having the park to ourselves! Enclosures dedicated to each species, staff offering clear and detailed explanations, information panels, and very engaging walk-through areas (lemurs, sika deer, ibex, and chamois) allow you to get up close to the animals. Well-equipped dining and picnic areas provide a pleasant lunch break. A beautiful, well-maintained park; very helpful and friendly staff; a truly wonderful visit!

A very nice wildlife park. The animals have plenty of space and the information is comprehensive. During the spring holidays, not all areas are open for lunch. The train wasn't running. There was only one place to eat. I was very disappointed with the food; the Auvergne salad was an insult to the good produce of the Auvergne region.

A remarkable experience in the heart of nature: the Auvergne Animal Park is much more than just a zoo. From the moment you arrive, the setting is impressive: open volcanic landscapes, a natural immersion that immediately gives the impression that the animals live in respectful spaces adapted to their needs. This coherence between environment, education, and ethics is particularly commendable. The park stands out for the quality of its facilities and the diversity of its sometimes rare species, presented with genuine insight. The pathways are designed to flow smoothly, offering varied viewpoints without ever feeling artificially staged. The commitment to conservation is tangible and deserves to be highlighted. There is a real desire to raise awareness, without excessive rhetoric, but with subtle and effective teaching methods. Special mention goes to the dedication of the staff: available, passionate, and always ready to share their knowledge, they contribute fully to the enriching experience. Finally, the overall atmosphere of the place—peaceful, respectful, almost contemplative—makes it a truly unique experience for both children and adults. A rare place, at once aesthetically pleasing, educational, and deeply inspiring. A visit I wholeheartedly recommend.

Thank you for the warm welcome to this beautiful park. We were able to see all the animals, and the children were delighted with their visit.

The zoo is well-maintained with a pleasant and well-marked path. It houses many species. However, you should make sure your zookeepers don't act like cowboys. In just one day, we've already had two completely ridiculous remarks (not counting recent visits). Near the deer enclosure, my partner was holding my daughter so she could see through a railing. A zookeeper barked at him, ordering him not to go too far, even though the required distances were being strictly observed. Also, in the lemur enclosure, a zookeeper yelled at us, ordering us not to sit near the animals (supposedly because they might bite us…), even though we weren't touching them and were simply watching them. So, please make it clear on the signs that sitting is not allowed. And if you're so afraid of bites, don't offer enclosures where visitors can go inside! Increasingly disappointed by these behaviors that infantilize people.

Magnificent in the spring sunshine! Walking shoes are recommended. There's a small train (fee applies) for those with limited mobility, and there's a view all the way down. Those who are fit can walk up and down!
