Le Bellevue sur Gourdon

We arrived late without a reservation and the owner gave us a warm welcome. The meal was excellent, thank you again for your kindness.

Obviously, Le Bellevue shouldn't be compared to a gourmet restaurant, or even a "high-end" restaurant... 👉 But for a good bistro, it's exactly what you'd expect. We were at a football tournament in Le Vigan with my club, one Sunday around 11 a.m. Knowing our adventure wouldn't go any further, we looked for a restaurant for 10 people... everything was full. We couldn't find a table. We called Le Bellevue: they had space 👍 Nice place, small bar/bistro atmosphere, and above all, a really cool and funny manager, very down-to-earth. We both had an aperitif, and she offered us the third one on the house—very accommodating, which was nice. As for the food: A real bistro meal, family-style, no frills. The burgers do the job, they're good, satisfying, and perfect for a meal with friends. You can definitely feel the family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere, just the way we like it in a bistro. 👉 For what it is, it's exactly what it needs to be, and it more than deserves its rating.

A very warm welcome, excellent service; there were 10 of us and a baby. The dishes were delicious and generous. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We arrived by chance at this place, which welcomes many bikers. It has a beautiful terrace with soft music. The menu is promising, but due to lack of time, we settled for tea, coffee, apple pie, and caramel pie. So good that we had more!! Thanks to the owner who not only provides the service herself, but also prefers payment in CASH... especially for small amounts.

€15 for a starter, main course, dessert, and coffee is unbeatable. Very friendly welcome. I would have liked to give it a 4.5, but we can't, and since the average is 3.9, my 5 will go up a bit, and it's deserved. Two small drawbacks: the beef skirt steak is served cooked to perfection without being asked how it's cooked. The Basque cake for dessert, heated in the microwave before serving, is unnecessary. Otherwise, it's good and plentiful. Congratulations, keep it up!

- 1 - I congratulate INGRID for her kindness, her good humor, and her smile every morning. This waitress is very friendly and attentive. She demonstrates great professionalism. - 2 - Also, congratulations to NINO; this young server is very willing and dynamic; he bends over backwards to run between the kitchen, the terrace, and the dining room. - 3 - However, the owner could be a little kinder to her wait staff. For example, she doesn't hesitate to nag at NINO in front of the customers. While NINO is at the bar preparing appetizers for a table of 10, she gives him 4 or 5 orders at the same time. It's as if she's doing everything she can to make him "put down his apron" and go work somewhere else. THAT'S ALL SHE DESERVES!
