Le Bilboquet sur Tournon-Sur-Rhone

I go there very often because I work nearby and it's a really great restaurant, with generous and tasty dishes.

Authentic French bistro with a good menu. We were allowed to share the special of the day which was duck breast (380g) with a lovely raspberry sauce.

The menu looked enticing, promising homemade and seasonal cuisine, but ultimately, it wasn't amazing. We were seated on the terrace along the road because we have a dog (a very well-behaved little dachshund), so the noise and exhaust fumes seasoned our meals. My husband ordered calf's liver with dauphinoise potatoes and a bowl of salad with a barely noticeable dressing (which didn't look homemade). It was good, but nothing special. I ordered the ravioli gratin with Dauphiné cheese, Saint-Marcellin cheese, and bacon. It was rather ordinary; the bacon seemed to have come from a pre-packaged container, and it wasn't very flavorful. I was a bit disappointed by this bistro, which had made such promising claims. The service was pleasant but completely indifferent to us while we ate.

Returning from vacation, we decided to stop at this restaurant, and we were delighted with our visit. The frogs' legs were excellent, the crayfish ravioli a delight, and the lamb shank superb. For dessert, the profiteroles were excellent. If you're ever in the area, stop by. I highly recommend it.

The food was excellent, very generous, and very good value for money – perfect, not to be missed in Le Puy-en-Velay.

It would be helpful to mention that you are closed until September 8th. I was able to book through the website, which confirmed my reservation.
