Le Bistro Regent sur Montpellier

Nothing to say about the meal, no surprise at the regent bistro, on the other hand, I have never seen a restaurant so noisy. We didn't even have dessert to leave faster. Damage...

A truly “strategic” place, before the Polygone and very close to the Place de la Comédie. We want to say “the late” Regent, having known him at another time. Because apart from what is served to you and the business sense of the manager, who offers you coffees to make up for all the "misses" in the service and welcome... As you enter, the sun is dazzling at the Outside, I move forward to locate a table that would prevent the people I am with from being dazzled by the sun; a young man - probably too young, and in training - blocked my way and said to me "it is forbidden, sir, to seat yourself" (the restaurant was almost empty inside). I'm not giving up, even if others would have fled. We order, after more than half an hour of waiting, and after other people who arrived after us are served, the outside tables having priority, it seems, we finally manage to see our plates. Meat ordered "rare" and served rare red, recooked after our request and returned also red... Our stubbornness to see this meal through to the end seems like unconsciousness... Yet these young waiters are surely doing their part. better, because they activate, without possible dispute... so...

Ugh! The service is very good and the servers are polite, friendly and smiling. The interior decoration is well thought out, we eat properly. But... the toilets are dirty, damaged and obsolete! Outside, the pigeons almost eat from the plates and hang out generously on the empty tables. In short, nothing to complain about the price, the quantities and the professionalism of the servers but in terms of hygiene, they could really do better. I won't go back there.

Très bon repas. Un peu déçus quand je sors fumer une clope et que je demande un cendrier, puis qu’on me répond « par terre comme au sud »
