Le Bistrot sur Coulommiers

A rather disappointing experience. The welcome was mediocre at best, and the food didn't particularly impress us. It's all the more disappointing given that the menu only offered five dishes, several of which were unavailable. The same was true for the hard liquors offered as aperitifs. Finally, the lack of salt and pepper on the table was a small detail that contributed to this overall impression. We expected better and left disappointed.

A cracking traditional French bistro in Coulommiers. The service was exceptional, and the restaurant is run by a friendly father-and-son duo who made us feel very welcome. The menu is small but focused, featuring French classics that are all made in-house. I had the steak tartare, which was absolutely delicious. We had a couple of lovely wines and the overall meal represented fantastic value for money. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend stopping by

A place we love: simple, high-quality cuisine, a warm welcome, and a very reasonable bill. For a quick lunch, a family dinner, drinks with friends... any occasion is perfect for a visit to the Bistrot!

We needed a little break after the arrival of our baby, and we were looking for a place where we felt comfortable with good home-style cooking… and we weren't disappointed. Xavier is welcoming and warm; we immediately felt at ease. There's a great wine list and a good selection of draft beers too! The dishes are homemade, generous, and full of flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a very pleasant time. One thing is for sure: we'll be back!
