Le Bistrot sur Coulommiers

A cracking traditional French bistro in Coulommiers. The service was exceptional, and the restaurant is run by a friendly father-and-son duo who made us feel very welcome. The menu is small but focused, featuring French classics that are all made in-house. I had the steak tartare, which was absolutely delicious. We had a couple of lovely wines and the overall meal represented fantastic value for money. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend stopping by

We needed a little break after the arrival of our baby, and we were looking for a place where we felt comfortable with good home-style cooking… and we weren't disappointed. Xavier is welcoming and warm; we immediately felt at ease. There's a great wine list and a good selection of draft beers too! The dishes are homemade, generous, and full of flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a very pleasant time. One thing is for sure: we'll be back!

A nice little bistro, a bit old-fashioned, but that's part of its charm. The slow-cooked lamb shank on Easter Monday was perfect. The ballotine was a hit with our second guest. The owner and his son are friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money.

A lovely little restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The homemade touch is evident from the very first course, with excellent sardine rillettes. The main course was a tender flank steak with a homemade brie sauce. The service was impeccable, with no waiting between courses, and the dessert was also excellent. A place worth trying; I'll definitely be back soon! 🙂

We had a wonderful time at the bistro. Finally, homemade food in an atmosphere somewhere between a brasserie and a traditional bistro. We'll be back.
