A classic, elegant bistro. Located right on the Tremolat market square. Great food; we had a set menu, very fair prices. A bottle of wine for €23. We were there on a mild August evening and had a lovely dinner. The bistro belongs to the Relais & Châteaux across the street. As is typical in French bistros, you pay conveniently at the counter by mentioning your table number. A fantastic system (I wish we had that in Germany). Reservations are recommended. Had a lovely meal this afternoon on the way back in the small village of Trémolet on the Dordogne. Beautiful dishes and friendly service. Unfortunately, I received salmon instead of the ordered trout (and it turned out not to be cooked well enough), so I had to send the plate back and get rosé wine instead of a dry white from Bergerac, but otherwise perfectly fine.

A real gem at a cute little village. The bistro is the “little brother” of the gastronomic restaurant of the Relais & Chateaux Vieux Logis hotel and the food is simpler yet absolutely delicious. The magret de canard was a-ma-zing! Loved every minute there.

This was our second visit, my father and I. Everything was excellent again, from the food to the service.
The dishes were delicious and inspiring, as beautiful as they were tasty. A pleasure to go, and we're already looking forward to returning.
