We discovered this restaurant by chance and it was a pleasant surprise: generous and delicious food, impeccable service, and a very enjoyable chat over a complimentary digestif from Laura. Thank you for this lovely time! :) A special mention for the pavlova, which was exceptional!

Strolling through the city center, around a corner... not much busier than that, suddenly a vision of the 70s/80s, a restaurant. Maria's, we go in... Laura is waiting for us with a great smile and her friendly accent. We order homemade foie gras, presented naturally with quality and freshness, everything to start off well, then an excellent fish with simmered vegetables. In short, a great, simple moment, just the way we like them.

Everything is "very": Very friendly service, very good meals (for us the Cannelloni and the Guinea Fowl), but very small portions - and very steep prices! Thinking about coming back...

The food is good, but the prices are very high.

When we happened to pass by the restaurant one afternoon while walking in Saint Rémy, we were immediately seduced by the postcard-like and very nice "Old School" decor of the establishment. So we decided to come and dine there that same evening (September 2nd) without having booked in advance. We were greeted by a gentleman with a beard and gray hair in a parka (very surprising given the weather because he didn't take it off all evening) who didn't really fit in with the setting. I suppose he was the owner but he was a bit out of place in this vintage atmosphere. A very dynamic and friendly young man then took over to look after our table. After a small aperitif, we chose from the daily specials board the "Petits Farcis à la Provençale" and the "Cannellonis Maison". The dishes were very good, nothing to complain about, however the 2 cannellonis charged at €26 were too small in terms of portion. I also pointed this out to the server because a third cannelloni was a must, especially at this price because with only two you're left wanting more. On the other hand, the dessert, billed at €9, was clearly too expensive for what was served. We had chosen the chestnut fondant. We ordered another coffee and left with a rather steep bill of $100, especially regarding the quantity on the plate. The setting is very nice, but there is potential that is not being exploited, which is a shame. Why, for example, not dress the staff in slightly old-fashioned clothes that would fit much better with the vintage decor? Management should think about it and rectify what can easily be done with a little willpower...
