Le Bistrot de Mémé is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious homemade dishes with a warm welcome and excellent service. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food; it was delicious and beautifully presented. The price was also fantastic: a starter, main course, and dessert for €17 – no other restaurant in La Rochelle is that competitive! If I could, I'd go every week 😍 but unfortunately, I live over an hour away. In any case, I 100% recommend this restaurant. Another bonus was that we parked just a few meters away, and the parking was free. In short, everything was perfect from start to finish ❤️❤️❤️

If Grandma were opening a bistro… it would be exactly this one 😄 We discovered this little gem and honestly, we fell in love! The home-style cooking is simply the best I've ever had. Generous, authentic dishes, made with love—you can taste it from the first bite. A huge thank you to the chef 👨‍🍳 and the servers for their kindness and respect: here, you're not rushed to leave the table, you're allowed to savor, chat, and enjoy yourself. The prices are more than reasonable for a young couple, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. And then… the music selection! A real throwback to the 80s, our parents' playlist version—guaranteed nostalgia, I loved it 🎶 The atmosphere is perfect, the decor is unique and full of charm… we almost wanted to move in. We'll definitely be back 👵🧓🤍

A charming place that hides its true nature from the outside. The waiter, in his original attire, is pleasant and helpful, just like at grandma's. You feel right at home, on a first-name basis...

Traditional cuisine, a good meal enjoyed by the little children and ourselves.
