Delicious, down-to-earth food; very friendly service. Unfortunately, the furnishings were a bit cheap and the radio music was annoying. In 2026, you can definitely find atmospheric playlists that truly capture the ambiance of this picturesque town.

The order-taking process was extremely poorly organized. The salmon dish was inedible and far too salty, and the dark green salad was tough to eat. They refused to eat and sent it back to the kitchen. We waited almost 45 minutes for the dessert, which was expensive. Don't go there; avoid the back room.

We went for lunch as a couple. My meal was good: a savory crepe with Maroilles cheese and a caramel crepe, simple but decent. My partner, however, was very disappointed. The fish of the day was bland, a small portion, and the sauce had no flavor. For a €21 dish, it left us wanting more. The waitress was very friendly and professional, which wasn't the case for all the staff. A verbal altercation broke out between a waitress and the kitchen staff, which somewhat dampened the atmosphere of the meal. In short, it was okay, nothing special, and a bit pricey for the simplicity of the dishes.

Despite a few negative reviews and a Wonderbox voucher, we were very satisfied with our meal at the Bistrot de Saint Val'.... We were able to order whatever we wanted, even with our Wonderbox voucher, and add more if needed. Aperitif, main course (andouillette gratin with Maroilles sauce, fries), dessert (two scoops of ice cream and floating island), 25 cl of wine, and a coffee. €80 for two

26/04/2026: Very pleasant and helpful people. I'd love to go back.
24/04/2026: Disappointed, we arrived to a lack of welcome, even though it wasn't very busy. We were seated and given menus, and we made our choices: mussels, children's ham, chicken with Maroilles cheese, and salmon steak (from the specials board). We missed out; no one told us they were out of mussels, ham, and salmon. No big deal, we ordered the flank steak and ribeye with pepper sauce. Our plates arrived! Great! No pepper sauce... so the Maroilles cheese was fine instead... The chicken with Maroilles was as tough as a shoe sole, the Maroilles sauce wasn't what we expected, and the portions weren't great. Very disappointed! No compensation was offered. There are so many good restaurants in Saint-Valery, like Le Brunch, for example, and this one is only good if all the others are full or closed. A word of advice: a homemade sandwich with products from the Carrefour Express 100 meters away will satisfy you much more. PS: we didn't try the desserts, €9 for a dessert, if it's at the same level as the rest, that's expensive.
