We discovered Le Bistrot de Saint Val' thanks to a gift box and have very fond memories of our visit. The welcome was warm and the staff attentive throughout the meal. The dishes were beautifully presented, delicious, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the regional flavors and the restaurant's friendly atmosphere, ideally located in the heart of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. This experience as a couple fully met our expectations and allowed us to have a wonderful time. We thank the entire team for their professionalism and gladly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy a good meal in a pleasant setting.

The welcome wasn't very friendly. The mussels with Roquefort cheese didn't taste like Roquefort, but were very creamy. Poor value for money. 19.90 for the Caesar salad.

A mixed experience. Despite the waitress's good intentions and willingness to work, she couldn't manage the bar, taking payments, orders, service, cleaning, and customer service. This is obviously not her fault, but rather a lack of staff, which is a real shame as it significantly impacts the customer's impression throughout the meal. As for the food, it was standard, nothing special, classic, but nothing negative to report. Hopefully, as the season progresses, the staff will increase to better serve as many customers as possible.

Delicious, down-to-earth food; very friendly service. Unfortunately, the furnishings were a bit cheap and the radio music was annoying. In 2026, you can definitely find atmospheric playlists that truly capture the ambiance of this picturesque town.

26/04/2026: Very pleasant and helpful people. I'd love to go back.
24/04/2026: Disappointed, we arrived to a lack of welcome, even though it wasn't very busy. We were seated and given menus, and we made our choices: mussels, children's ham, chicken with Maroilles cheese, and salmon steak (from the specials board). We missed out; no one told us they were out of mussels, ham, and salmon. No big deal, we ordered the flank steak and ribeye with pepper sauce. Our plates arrived! Great! No pepper sauce... so the Maroilles cheese was fine instead... The chicken with Maroilles was as tough as a shoe sole, the Maroilles sauce wasn't what we expected, and the portions weren't great. Very disappointed! No compensation was offered. There are so many good restaurants in Saint-Valery, like Le Brunch, for example, and this one is only good if all the others are full or closed. A word of advice: a homemade sandwich with products from the Carrefour Express 100 meters away will satisfy you much more. PS: we didn't try the desserts, €9 for a dessert, if it's at the same level as the rest, that's expensive.

02/06/2026: We mostly enjoyed the restaurant 😁 An Italian salad for me, not bad but I was really looking forward to it! Luckily my shandy arrived quickly 🥵 A steak tartare for my partner, without any seasoning! Apparently that's a big deal 😉. The service was slow, very slow...but friendly
