23/06/2024: Chateauneuf is een prachtig oud dorpje, zeer de moeite waard om naar toe te gaan.
We hebben hier een avond gegeten en waren zeer tevreden over de gerechten, de porties en de bediening. Het enige jammere is dat het terras voorzien is van plastic meubilair, dat zou anders kunnen.
25/04/2024: Now called “Hostellerie de Guillaume” and, I understand, relatively recently under the ownership and “chef-ship” of the owner of the nearby “Auberge de Guillaume” in Auxois. A wonderful dining experience!
I had a combination of the traditional Burgundian menu and more contemporary dishes. Each was superb: both green and white asparagus with mushrooms and puff pastry; perch meunière; and burgundy black currant sorbet. My companions sang the praises of the pate, the coq au vin, and the fish of the day (also meunière).
The decor is clean and comfortable. The service was impeccable.
My favorite restaurant in Chateauneuf.
P.S. The sister restaurant, “Auberge de Guillaume” is similarly wonderful.
