The food was wonderfully fragrant. There were two of us, and we each tasted our respective dishes; they were all excellent. It's exactly what you expect from a bistronomic restaurant: simple cuts of meat and vegetables elevated by flavorful cooking. The service was pleasant, unpretentious, and friendly, with a touch of humor. We had a very enjoyable time.

A very warm welcome. A lovely and charming place in the pretty town of Lyons-la-Forêt. The menu was simple but detailed, which was appreciated. The meat was excellent. We made the trip from Vernon and we will definitely be back.

Arriving as a couple at the last minute for Sunday lunch, we received a very warm welcome, impeccable service even with our broken French, good food. A very pleasant moment.

We ate in this beautifully decorated, warm and cosy restaurant in the heart of Lyons on a Sunday evening. Menu Découverte, entrée-plat-desert; the food was classic French, very well prepared with beautiful, fresh and seasonal ingredients. Generous portions at a fair price, we enjoyed everything. Only room for improvement I can think of was that the cheese was served too cold. Service was friendly and attentive, in French and English. I think maybe some of the other reviewers should remember that just because someone has a foreign accent or makes an occasional grammar error, doesn't mean they don't speak French... Highly recommend this special bistrot for a laid back meal in an exceptional location.

Excellent food. Pleasant restaurant. Well located on the market square. Behind it, a small garden with old photos. For this chic restaurant, the only drawback is the single, rather limited, toilet.

01/03/2026: Excellent stay at the Hotel La Licorne, booked through Verychic (night + dinner + breakfast + spa). A warm welcome and very pleasant staff, a spacious and well-appointed room with a view of the medieval town center, beautifully presented dishes at dinner in an elegant setting, a generous breakfast, and finally, a small swimming pool that we could enjoy even after returning the keys, for one last moment of relaxation before hitting the road again. I highly recommend it!

17/02/2026: We went for lunch on Saturday at the Café du Commerce in Lyons-la-Forêt and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome and service. The lunch was also excellent and very affordable. We went back in the evening for a drink, and the atmosphere was just as friendly. I highly recommend this place.
