Lunch at Bistrot du Port on a Saturday. A lovely find with a vintage decor. The burgers and fries were very good. Our waitress was very friendly. We had a great time 😊

The Bistrot du Port is still open. It's doing its job. And doing it well. You walk in like starving sailors who've found refuge. The retro decor is there, warm and reassuring. You settle in. You take a breather. The small set menus in jars arrive quickly. Convenient, at any time of day. Exactly what you need when hunger strikes unexpectedly. The burrata with pesto is delicious. The Vendée rillettes are really nice. And the complimentary pickle is a welcome touch. A small detail, but a good one. Tata Nono's Breton lighthouse is served generously. It fills you up without hesitation. Even the hungriest are satisfied. The gourmet coffee is decent. The chocolate mousse, however, lacks a bit of oomph. More dark chocolate would give it character. It's a minor detail, not a disaster. The glass of Muscadet is €2.80. Very good value for money. You don't feel ripped off, and that matters. Dogs are welcome. ANCV holiday vouchers are accepted too. The welcome is genuine and simple. A cozy bistro, found at just the right time. An honest, generous place where you're glad you stopped by, especially on a rainy Monday.

I ordered a charcuterie board where the menu listed homemade terrine, but it was actually mass-produced. The bresaola was black, as if it had been pre-cut, and the Serrano ham was just raw ham. At €9, it's expensive for a board that was served on an IKEA-style wooden lid. However, the waiter was friendly and smiling. Avoid this place.
