Very nice, and close to the stadium, definitely worth a visit, we settled in for a long lunch prior to the rugby match. The staff were attentive, and didn't rush us at all. Place was full, so definitely need to book.

The service in this bistrot was super friendly and welcoming. They took great care in explaining the menu to us in English.
We went for the bistrot menu: three courses for 29.50 euro, a great deal. We loved sitting on the terrace with view on the rive Nive while we enjoyed our food. The server made a small mistake though: he forgot to bring our wine, but since he was so friendly we didn't mind we had to give him a reminder.
To finish our meal in style we ordered an armagnac of 15 years old, but since they were out of that armagnac, they offered us the armagnac of 20 years old at the same price. I call that great hospitality!

A set Christmas menu for €25, and the à la carte menu included "croquettes" and baby squid.
The menu lacked variety: one starter, one main course, and dessert. The salmon salad with cheese was good, and the duck was delicious, served with a meat sauce and a carrot sauce.
The tiramisu was also good.
The "croquettes" were more like breaded sweetbreads, but the sauce was excellent.
The baby squid was decent, served with rice and mushrooms.
For the price, in France and in the center of Bayonne, it was very good.

A place worth discovering, whether for its delicious food or its regional products.
The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly (with smiles and attentiveness), the dishes are generous, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced.
I highly recommend it.

I went for lunch with my father and we ordered the daily market menu. The experience was simply perfect. The waitress who served us was very pleasant and friendly, always attentive and making us feel truly comfortable. The food was excellent, with well-prepared, high-quality dishes.
It's definitely a place I would recommend. It's well worth it and we left delighted.
