We had prepared this meal at Boenewal for a group of 18 hikers, so we had tested it beforehand.
It's a fantastic restaurant in the heart of the countryside. The food is excellent: grilled specialties cooked over a wood fire in the fireplace, but also a superb calf's head with brains and tongue, and a wonderful gribiche sauce. It's only served on the last two Fridays of the month.
The service was impeccable, and we left in time for our afternoon hike. I had mentioned it upon arrival!
The atmosphere is warm and typical of old-fashioned farmhouses!
The owner is incredibly friendly and very accommodating...Bravo!

For my first time there, I really liked the meal. It was delicious. The only negative point I could say would be the wait for dessert.
Overall, the service was perfect.
This is a very pleasant restaurant. We are always made to feel very welcome. Whether by the fire or on the veranda, we always have a pleasant time in this restaurant, and we eat very well. It is friendly, relaxing, and warm.
