Regular customers for several years, we always come back for pizzas. Excellent food and pleasant service.
Whether eating in or taking away, it's always a treat and very quick.

I'm not giving it a good rating because where's the buccaneer we used to know? The pasta dish wasn't great, I'd even say it was just okay, too salty.
Unfortunately, I won't be going back; the food has gone downhill.

The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and everything was very tidy. The food was delicious; we had pizza and a meat dish. The Prosecco was also a very good choice. Book a table in advance, as it's very popular.

Four of us friends walked through the doors of Le Boucanier one weekday evening. The welcome was friendly and warm, and the atmosphere inviting. We ordered tarte flambée as a starter; they were decent, but nothing that would make us want to come back. The base lacked seasoning, that little something extra that sets it apart from the competition.
The main courses: The cordon bleu? No thanks. The price is already high, even if it's the same at other restaurants. BUT for a chicken cordon bleu at that price, it should be good. Here, it was dry and overcooked, the ham was bland, and the cheese was nothing special. The sauce was uninspiring—a base made with dehydrated stock. The menu mentions it's for those with a hearty appetite...no, sorry, but no. The portion size is just average, and a lot of frozen fries doesn't exactly make it a gourmet dish.
The hanger steak. It was good, cooked perfectly, and a generous portion. Well done! It was a nice dish, even if the sauce and fries...well, let's focus on the positives.
Desserts
Crème brûlée: nothing special, unremarkable.
Irish: it's generous, well-balanced, which makes you want to come back. Well done!
Le Boucanier isn't a good restaurant, nor is it a bad one, but it's just average. It lacks boldness in its dishes. It's missing that extra something that sets it apart from the stiff competition nearby. A little more homemade touch and fewer generic sauces would be nice.

One of our favorite restaurants, the food is always top-notch, with unlimited tarte flambée and carpaccio, and incredible pizza! (Bonus for the sangria and profiteroles) Impeccable service with a smile and a warm atmosphere. I recommend it a thousand times over! 😁🍕
