We spent a night in Caen and were looking for a place to have dinner. We saw the good reviews and went. Small, cozy place, a small menu but very well prepared. A great find. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT!!! Honestly, a fantastic place that's well worth the trip! The food was truly delicious, and the welcome was incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was impeccable, the portions generous, and the value for money was excellent. I highly recommend it and I'll definitely be back!!

Everything was perfect. The food was excellent, the dishes well-balanced, with particular attention paid to the cooking of the fish. The service was also impeccable; it's always nice to have a detailed description of the dishes so you can fully appreciate them. Note that reservations are recommended.

Nice place. A lot of meat on the menu, bigger dishes. Great if you are hungry for it. Fish dish was not the most interesting. Lovely wines. Visited a while ago and still remember the very tasty buttery potatoes. Authentic hostess who lost her patience with me as I took my card from the machine too early. She treated me with a big sigh and eye rolls, it must have been so annoying to her. Did I do something that impolite? I wouldn’t take my frustration on to costumers. Dumb ending of what was a nice experience. Another younger woman serving us was very gentle.

We were won over by this little restaurant, well hidden near Caen Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed the tartares and the basil and strawberry panna cotta.

20/05/2026: We visited Omaha Beach in the afternoon and didn't get back to Caen until 9:30 PM, which was just about an hour before closing time. Despite the late hour, the owner warmly welcomed us in. We ordered the seafood platter, and the portions were huge and incredibly fresh—I could easily pull out a massive chunk of meat from the crab! As novices at eating sea snails, it took us quite a while, and by the time we finished everything, we had actually stayed 20 minutes past closing time. However, throughout our meal, we never felt rushed at all. On the contrary, the owner kept telling us to take our time and enjoy. Since we were the last guests, she even shared with us that everything is lovingly homemade and they only have five chefs in the kitchen. In short, the food was delicious and hearty (especially that seafood platter!), and the service was impeccable—the staff cleared our used plates very promptly. The owner's warmth and hospitality truly touched our hearts. If I ever visit France again, I will definitely bring my friends here! C'est un régal !
