It wasn't our first visit, but I hadn't yet written a review. It's undoubtedly one of the most pleasant restaurants in the city. The email and phone responses are delightful, the welcome is perfect, and the food is a true delight. The value for money is excellent, with a real consistency in the quality of the cuisine, much to the chagrin of those grumpy types who never appreciate anything. In short, it's a place where we love to have lunch or dinner. The dishes are delicious, the service is efficient, and the staff is more than charming. We will continue to come as often as possible because there is never a disappointment. A big BRAVO to the whole team!

This is a truly excellent restaurant, with a comprehensive menu, fresh and expertly prepared dishes, and impeccable, professional service—just the way we like it. They offer great wine recommendations, all at a very good price. Private parking and dogs are welcome. In short, if you're also looking for accommodation, this 3-star hotel is perfect. Whether for lunch or dinner, with family or for business, don't hesitate.

A very pleasant restaurant; the staff are remarkably kind and welcoming. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced. Service is quick despite the lunch rush. Congratulations to the manager, Bastien, who, like his employees, is a true all-rounder.

Hello, I'm a little disappointed. I ordered eggs meurette, but the sauce wasn't the usual red wine sauce; it was white. I think it was white wine, or something like that, but it's usually good, which is why I order it every time. I was very disappointed by the sauce. I asked for a second glass of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. The first one was perfect, but the second one had some kind of crystals in it. I pointed this out to the waitress, and she just put it on the counter where we pay and nothing else. They could have at least apologized and told me they weren't going to recommend it, or given me a tiny bit more from another bottle. I don't think you serve the last of the bottle in a glass to a customer. I thought it was a €6.50 supplement for the meat, but it's for the sauce, from what I understand. You might say, "But if it's a €6.50 supplement for..." The sauce was expensive. I didn't see the owner or the little gentleman who's usually at the entrance and who didn't greet us when we arrived. I think the owner wasn't there, and while the cat's away, the mice will play. I heard three remarks from a not-so-friendly waiter. I'm sorry, I don't know if I'll go back. Hello again. I see the customer is wrong. If I had known, I would have taken a picture to show you the sauce. Every time I've come to your place, it's been real red wine sauce, and this time it wasn't. Someone had already come, and it was full of that. I didn't think it was true, and now I realize it is. And as for the wine, we don't serve it from the bottom of the bottle. I'm sorry, I go to enough restaurants to know. But since I see the customer is wrong, I won't advertise you anymore. It's a shame because I used to enjoy eating at your place. I'm not saying anything bad about you, but there were two small things, plus the waiter who was making... unpleasant remarks on this good day

Cote Loire - Mercure Hotel

20/04/2026: The room was spotless. The bathroom was spotless, although a walk-in shower would be better! However, the heating was too hot and couldn't be adjusted; you had to leave the window open to cool the room down! The price of breakfast doesn't reflect the quality offered! Neither the layout nor the quality is good; it's regrettable to have breakfast on stained tablecloths! Fortunately, the staff is very pleasant and friendly. The Accor group should impose its standards on its franchisees. 😏
16/04/2026: This hotel is not worth the price of the rooms. The breakfast was extremely meager for €18.50. There was only one coffee machine in service, which malfunctioned twice within 10 minutes, and the other was out of order. Before even saying hello, they asked for your room number to access the breakfast room, just in case... In short, we won't be returning for our business trips to Nevers.

Comptoir St-Sebastien

07/04/2026: I was very pleasantly surprised. I hadn't been to Saint-Sébastien for 30 years. The setting is still as lovely as ever. There were nine of us, celebrating a special occasion, and we ordered dishes without even looking at the price. With wine in April, it came to €450. It's more expensive than McDonald's, but the quality is significantly better. None of us had any regrets. If you're looking for a sure thing, with quality food, don't hesitate to go.
29/03/2026: Mixed review. The restaurant's cleanliness leaves much to be desired, especially the dirty stairs. This is a shame because it's an establishment with a lot of charm. We even found breadcrumbs on the table before being served. Also, the ketchup bottles, already opened, remained at room temperature throughout the entire meal despite the storage instructions: "Once opened, keep refrigerated." The service, however, was a positive point, with friendly and helpful waiters. As for the food, the experience was inconsistent. The white asparagus purse, advertised with mushrooms and garlic cream, turned out to be different from the description, with the addition of unmentioned carrots and zucchini cooked with a sauce (salted soy sauce?). The result lacked cohesion, the asparagus being barely perceptible and the cream rather bland. The side dish also included a bagged salad. The salmon tataki was very good, although it too was served with a bagged salad. The cod loin, accompanied by leeks and a lime sauce, was decent but the portion was too small. Despite the freshness of the fish, the seasoning lacked depth, with the lemony note almost entirely absent for all the diners who chose this dish. Conversely, the lamb shank with its jus and the duck breast with sweet potato purée and orange sauce were thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts were also a hit! There were some good dishes and the staff was pleasant, but between the cleanliness issues and some disappointing dishes, the overall experience was rather average.
