Le Bouchon sur Gap

After searching for a place to eat (about an hour), I finally stopped here out of desperation. I walked in without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. As a result, I had a great meal; each dish was delicious and the staff explained everything. Two negative points, however: 1/ The water wasn't to my taste. 2/ The flavors in some dishes were a bit off, meaning that with some, you only tasted a single flavor instead of experiencing a real explosion of taste. In short, next time I'll come back and make a reservation.

We had often been recommended Le Bouchon restaurant in Gap for its local cuisine with Mediterranean touches blended with Asian flavors. We arrived quite early and started with excellent apple-ginger juice. While waiting for our starters, we were served a few cauliflower bites, equally delicious. We had ordered only one starter: a soft-boiled egg, squash velouté, and truffle cream. After tasting my partner's, I loved it so much that we ordered a second, which arrived in less than five minutes: very efficient service. For our main courses, we chose pork loin and chicken ballotine, both excellent, even though they weren't on the menu that evening. Meanwhile, the restaurant filled up considerably, especially with the arrival of a table of eight. Unfortunately, we then waited about 30 minutes without our plates being cleared or being able to order dessert. It was getting late, so we decided to pay and leave, which was a shame because the desserts looked very tempting. The waiter apologized for the wait and offered us complimentary drinks, a gesture we greatly appreciated. This is what convinced us to come back and try the desserts again… and finally taste them. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food!

A wonderful culinary experience. The daily menu was excellent and quite generous. The service was very pleasant in a friendly, family atmosphere. I highly recommend it and I will definitely return.

Lunch today. A delightful surprise. A simple yet effective menu. Creamy truffle arancini with cauliflower and tonka bean... a marvel, followed by fregola sarda with spinach, parmesan, dill, and lemon... to die for!! And to finish, a hazelnut cream puff. Everything was perfect. I'll be back.

This was our third time dining there, we've never been disappointed, and it was once again truly excellent, featuring delicious local produce. A real French restaurant! Thank you to the fantastic waiters!

A wonderful discovery! This bistro-style restaurant boasts a beautiful interior. The dishes were excellent and beautifully presented (special mention for the delicious focaccia starter). The vegetarian risotto and the lentil and sausage dish were also very good. The service was impeccable, with friendly and smiling staff. We'll be back!

Exceptional!!!! What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was! From start to finish, we were captivated by the dishes, which were absolutely original and perfectly balanced. Truly passionate, with delicious flavors, ingredients elevated with a touch of originality, seasonings, and a mix of textures... In short, perfection! This is haute cuisine at a completely accessible price, especially when you consider the work that goes into it. Bravo to these three outstanding chefs and the entire team, with a special mention for the young waiter, who was competent, very pleasant, and offered excellent advice! Impressive maturity!
