Le Bougnat sur Mont-Dore

Excellent restaurant! The owner's parents are lovely: he's in the kitchen, she's in the dining room, and they're both fantastic. A very warm welcome, a delicious meal… We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it!

This restaurant is just my style, but come with a very empty stomach, as the portions are very generous. Excellent service.

Having arrived here after three days in the mountains, we dreamed of only one thing: a good, comforting local dish. Upon arrival, you might feel a little lost. You have to go through the parking lot on the right and walk uphill to reach the terrace where you'll be welcomed. Less accustomed to the service, the team that greeted us at lunchtime was a bit disorganized (understandable given their circumstances) but they put their hearts into it and were very welcoming. The food is very good (perhaps influenced by the rations of the last three days) and the portions are generous. Each starter comes with charcuterie, even though it's not specified on the menu (we ordered an extra charcuterie board because we didn't expect any with the roasted Camembert). The prices are a bit high (€58 for two). But let's ask ourselves why we go to a restaurant. To have a good time and eat well? Well, that was certainly the case. Thank you and well done!

An excellent find, slightly outside the center of Mont-Dore, but well worth discovering. The food is excellent, the ingredients fresh, and we were surprised by the incredible price of a €20 set menu considering the quality! Perfect for sharing at a leisurely pace.

To end our week-long holiday in Mont-Dore on a high note, we went to dinner at Le Bougnat! We received a very warm welcome! We had a St. Nectairade cheese which was excellent and generous, and for dessert, a gourmet coffee and a blueberry almond tart! A real treat! We highly recommend this restaurant!!

After a hike, we enjoyed a delicious truffade and fondue. It was both delicious and generous! The waiter was responsive and attentive. I highly recommend it!
