Le Bourgogne sur Evian-Les-Bains

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was, located at the entrance to a pedestrian street, close to the town center, the lake, and the train station: everything is within walking distance. The hotel is clean, and the welcome was pleasant. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished, with two large bay windows opening onto a balcony and garden furniture overlooking a charming little square. A large, clean, and well-designed bathroom. Kettle and hairdryer provided. The self-service breakfast was excellent the first morning; however, the second morning, we arrived at 7:00 a.m. (the advertised start time), but nothing had been set up and no one was there. Having a train to catch, we made do with what was left over from the previous day: a shame, because without this hiccup, our stay would have been perfect. This incident, however, does not detract from our overall positive impression of this establishment, which truly deserves its 3 stars. I highly recommend the restaurant: refined and excellent cuisine, and a very friendly welcome and service.
