I visited recently, just after the holidays. It's a very nice, cozy restaurant. The service is impeccable and attentive, the meat was cooked perfectly as I requested, the meal was very good, and the portions were just right to leave me feeling satisfied and avoid waste. I highly recommend it.

An exceptional experience. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the waiter actually knew how to describe the dish when asked about its preparation (which is rare). The value for money was unmatched in a long time. We would love a restaurant like yours in our city.

A meal with friends. The setting was lovely. The food was very good and beautifully presented. The welcome was pleasant despite a few minor issues. The bread needs improvement; it was either defrosted or stale and not very pleasant. We ordered soft drinks, but they brought us flat Cokes and a Perrier in a small glass (25cl) – not very reasonable considering the price. However, kudos to the chef who clearly has a passion for his craft.

A restaurant that was recommended to us, and indeed it was very good. No complaints whatsoever, everything was excellent.
The only slight downside was the somewhat impersonal service. A smile is always nicer.
I also regret the requirement to choose your dessert when ordering. I prefer to adjust my choice according to my hunger and cravings at the end of the meal, even if it means waiting a little longer for it to be prepared.
But that's a minor point because in the end everything was very good (including that famous dessert, lol). As for the rating, it's difficult to give less than 5. 4 would be too low, I think, given the quality of the food. A 4.5 would be more appropriate, we'd say.

Lack of originality. The dishes are good, but for example, the side dishes are the same, even though they deserve a different accompaniment for each dish.
The red wine (Mercurey) isn't up to scratch, and when we mentioned it upon leaving, we were told yes... but then why serve it???
The flavors are there, but overall, we're disappointed.

Located in the middle of this beautiful, relaxed street in Chalon-sur-Saône is the quaint restaurant Le Bourgogne – a real highlight! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel completely at home. The drinks menu also offers a good selection, so there's something for everyone. Everything is clean, comfortable, and inviting. We were more than satisfied and look forward to dining here again soon. Thank you for the wonderful service!
