A must-stop after a beautiful hike in the forest. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming; you immediately feel right at home. The service is top-notch, with a smile. Special mention goes to the decor, the beer selection, and the overall conviviality of the place. A place we're happy to share. We'll gladly return on our next trip to the region.

A pub in a prime central location with a cozy atmosphere, where you can savor one of its exquisite dishes, including the ever-popular fish and chips, or simply relax with a coffee or a good beer. And the desserts are just as tempting (starting with the tarte tatin, which is to die for!), and they'll even serve them outside of mealtimes. All at reasonable prices. Not to mention the friendly and efficient service. In short, a gem of a place, and one we'll definitely be returning to as soon as we're back in the area!

24/09/2026: A pleasant surprise today. Friendly welcome, simple, affordable and tasty food.
13/09/2026: We had ciabatta sandwiches - but not like any we have had before. The bread was freshly baked in a pizza oven behind the counter. Fluffy and crisp without posing a danger to my aging teeth. Mine had a filling of tender fried aubergine, mozzarella, notably fresh salad, olives and lots of garlic. The tastiest meal out that we have had in a very long time. A simple enough meal, but perfectly executed. The accompanying organic local ginger beer was served with ice and a slice of lemon - a nice touch. The setting, overlooking the lake, could not have been prettier. The friendly staff speak English, but they put up with my terrible French without complaint!

Hotel Restaurant du Lac

19/06/2026: We had dinner there; they were very friendly, and the food was natural and delicious. It has an amazing location. I highly recommend it.
25/04/2026: The hotel is ideally located near the forest. Our room with a lake view was very pleasant. The hotel restaurant is good and offers a vegetarian menu. Everyone was very attentive. If we return to Huelgoat, we will gladly stay here again.
