Excellent value for money at Buquet's, near the iconic Vaugueux district. Homemade cuisine using ultra-fresh ingredients. Generous portions, beautifully presented, both simple (the surf and turf salad is wonderful!) and always with a thoughtful personal touch. The 2 or 3 course set menu is unbeatable. It's always delicious! And the service is excellent too! It's simple: once you're in Caen, you won't want to go anywhere else!

Very welcoming, excellent value for money. We had the beef fillet and the grilled hanger steak; it was superb, cooked to perfection. I'll be back.

For my first dinner in Caen, choosing this restaurant was a happy accident, and what a happy accident it was! A warm and friendly welcome, excellent value for money. The dishes were fresh and generous. And a big thank you to the owner for providing the apron.

A French restaurant where the food is excellent. This restaurant offers simple, homemade cuisine using local French ingredients. I recommend the veal chop à la Normande, which was delicious. Also, if you'd like to try snails, they sometimes have them on the menu. The staff is incredibly attentive to their customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this establishment!

Soul Ship café restaurant

03/01/2026: If you do your children the honor of buying them "Potato Pops," they'll have the pleasure of reading "CUM" on the packaging. Those with even a basic understanding of English will know why this is problematic… Anyway, the place is perfect for a family setting… let's not even mention the drunks in the corner of the bar who talk very loudly and even seem to disturb the staff with their highly inappropriate remarks; I feel sorry for them.
