Exceptional, I'd heard wonderful things about it. It far exceeded expectations. Truly authentic Corsican cuisine. Dishes beyond compare... All of them absolutely delicious. And the owner and waitress were remarkably kind, providing explanations that attest to the restaurant's authenticity.

It's 7:30 p.m. when I get ready to go to Le But. I haven't eaten since 1 p.m. Not that I practice intermittent fasting, but a real mental, physical, and digestive preparation is necessary to face the mountain of food that awaits me. Because at Le But, there's a golden rule: leave nothing on your plate, at the risk of offending Jean-Baptiste and his ladies. And believe me, they don't joke about that. But what makes Le But particularly formidable is that, unlike many places where quantity and quality are at odds, here, quantity truly rhymes with quality. I've been dining at this exceptional restaurant, Le But, for seven years now, and it's always a great pleasure to see Jean-Baptiste and his ladies again. Even the famous moment when Jean-Baptiste presents the menu remains a delight, year after year, without ever becoming repetitive or tiresome. We listen with the same attention… while trying to prepare ourselves mentally. Le But is more than a restaurant. More than an institution, even. It's a true experience, a journey into another world where good humor, serenity, warmth, and above all, a certain gastronomic generosity reign, making an all-you-can-eat buffet seem like an aperitif. In short, Le But is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Corsica for an authentic, warm, and pleasant evening… and above all, for a truly excellent meal.
