Le Caboch'art sur Caen

21/08/2026: A lovely experience at this downtown brasserie. The welcome was very pleasant. The service was top-notch; the three waitresses who looked after us were all very professional, friendly, and always smiling. A superb attitude from these waitresses, the kind you see less and less these days—well done! Okay, I'm old-fashioned, but here I found exactly what I expect from service: efficient and pleasant at the same time. You don't feel like you're bothering them, as is often the case elsewhere. As for the food, the chicken supreme was very good with an excellent morel sauce. The Caesar and salmon salads were also good. We also really enjoyed the mille-feuille and the decadent profiteroles. The cider was truly excellent and not strong for a brut; we liked it. The brasserie aspect initially put me off, but in the end, it's a great place that I recommend. Parking isn't easy, unless you use the underground car park directly opposite, under Place de la République.
