Le Cafe Bleu Roi sur Versailles

A very pleasant establishment with a lovely atmosphere. The menu is extensive. Homemade...okay, it says so right there. The fondue, etc., was very good, but the steak frites...not really. The portion was too small, and the hamburger patty was homemade...I doubt it. The starters were good, the desserts were okay. The prices are reasonable, and it's just a stone's throw from the castle.

Good evening, this afternoon after my visit to the Palace of Versailles, I went for lunch with my daughter. The young woman at the cashier asked us to leave a review, which I gladly did. My daughter ordered duck confit with potatoes, a Virgin Mojito, and a cappuccino; I had steak tartare with fries, a non-alcoholic beer, and an espresso. I'm from Quebec, so when I saw these small plates arrive, I was more than surprised; in Canada, the plates are twice the size. Aside from that, we had a lovely time: delicious food, no noise, and impeccable service. As for the bill, I was also surprised—it was more than reasonable. I come to France regularly, and now I know where to go for lunch. Thanks again to all the staff, and Happy New Year!

Nice place with good cheap food

Highly recommended for those visiting Versailles! A great value restaurant! We visited during a somewhat busy time at the end of December, and although the restaurant was a little crowded, there were plenty of seats, so we were seated quickly. My wife and I had onion soup, tartare, and a glass of wine. With the weak yen and rising prices, the same meal in Paris would likely cost over 10,000 yen for lunch alone. Here, however, we managed to get it for just about 30 euros, or about 5,000 yen. I think it's excellent value for money for a meal in France. The tartare, a local French dish, is exquisite! It's pre-mixed here, making it easy to eat. However, since this dish is raw beef, please dine at your own risk. (Fortunately, neither my wife nor I suffered any stomach upset.) The menu was entirely in French, so I recommend looking at the photos on a map beforehand or using a translation tool like Google Lens to help you. The waiter who served us was friendly and spoke English, which left a good impression. I would like to visit again next time if I am in the area.

We came as a family this Monday. I thoroughly enjoyed my dishes (bone marrow/chuck roast/French toast). I would have liked a little more toast for the rather generous starter. My mother found the chicken a bit dry and there were very few mushrooms in the sauce. She was a little more disappointed than I was. The waitress was absolutely lovely, and the service was really quick without feeling rushed out like in some other restaurants. I recommend it despite some comments that I don't think are justified. The decor could use a little sprucing up 🙂 but what matters is what's on my plate. Happy holidays to the whole team, and a special shout-out to our waitress who I think is courageous, hardworking, and well-intentioned. See you soon 🙂

Superbly located, classic cuisine that pleases the palate. Efficient service.

The chicken with mushrooms and fries was delicious, as was the sea bass fillet with ratatouille. The portions were generous at an unbeatable price! The waitress was very friendly and efficient!

The wait wasn't too long, the menu was very comprehensive with reasonable prices. The food, drinks, and laughter at Le Petit Bouillon Versailles were great! I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday!
