Le Cafe de la Place sur Tassin-La-Demi-Lune

07/09/2024: A very good evening with the family. The terrace is very pleasant for enjoying the last summer evenings. Excellent dishes and dessert, even the children's menu is careful and plentiful and thank you for offering something other than fries because yes, children love vegetables when they are well cooked.... Special mention to Sabine the manager who manages all of this with a masterful hand and provides her service alone with a smile and surprising efficiency. We will come back

26/08/2024: A surprising place, I didn't expect to find this in Tassin My opinion is biased, I went there having seen the menu talking about "Foie gras cooked au torchon" on "Lyon resto" this one is clearly not up to date, both in terms of the menu and the price, count 39 € the starter + main course + dessert menu for the evening (not 32€). - The starter is not very extensive, it has the merit of existing, when receiving the plate I was afraid of missing out on the main course because it was so small. - The dishes were good, the cooked meat was as I like it: without too much sauce, well cooked and correctly seasoned (an extra pinch of salt would not have been amiss, however) - Dessert was good/edable but it wasn't surprising or excellent either. Don't expect a large quantity though, it's a small quantity for a menu at this price. The service, however, deserves a medal, the waitress found herself alone following the withdrawal of a waiter for that evening, she managed as best she could in the room (the kitchen took a while to give her a helping hand but still ended up doing it, it's good) In summary: A restaurant for the sake of being a restaurant, but not a restaurant where you want to take someone because the dishes are excellent, or surprising. For my part, I would not go back there.
