Le Café de Mars sur Paris

Nous nous sommes arrêtés un peu par hasard dans ce restaurant. Nous n’avons pas été déçus. Cuisine fine et recherchée, plats faits maison. Un véritable régal gustatif ! Nous avons adoré et recommandons cette adresse.

This was our best experience in Paris. Every dish was delicious—we started with manchego with rosemary honey and toast, then a melon salad with balsamic and poppy seeds, my husband had duck with plums and spinach, and I had a salad with chicken pomegranate and spelt. The wines were perfect. For our desserts a simple and rich chocolate cake and roasted figs with yogurt ice cream and balsamic reduction. Everything was fresh, seasonal, and expertly prepared. The atmosphere was quiet and unpretentious, and the staff was charming and delightful. We could not give them a higher recommendation. Magnifique!

Our first night in Paris. We found Cafe De Mars as a highly rated Trip Advisor restaurant so made a quick booking. After a short 8-9 minutes away walk, the greeting was friendly and efficient. We were seated and our waiter (Rens) was very professional and relaxed. He quickly offerred us the English menu and time to checkout the wine list. A nice French Chardonnay was appreciated. Whilst the waitress who took our order forgot the Spritz, we reminded her and it was promptly delivered (and advised as complimentary). An error but fixed with courtesy. That’s hospitality. Whilst the menu is not large, importantly the food was excellent. Lamb Tagine a highlight. Cheeseburger for our teenagers, Parisian style and very good. The chicken salad (Chicken Marbella) was fresh, tasty and light. Cafe De Mars offers wonderful food in a relaxed manner. With a special shout out to Rens for his hospitality and service.
