Le Cafe des Arts sur Thouars

A classic French café, just the way we like them! It's like stepping back in time to the Belle Époque! A lovely shaded courtyard. The kitchen is closed on Sundays, which is a good excuse for us to come back during the week and try the menu, which looks delicious!

We followed the people who were going here when we arrived in the city. What a lovely discovery! Thank you!

I was told, "Come, you'll see, the decor is great and the food is delicious." And one lunchtime, I found myself on a banquette in the "Café des Arts." The decor was like the colors. But this change of scenery suited me. As did the delicate, colorful plates on the neighboring tables. On the menu were gnocchi. Usually, they're not my thing. But there, I would have... I would have devoured every last bit. And everything was delicate and balanced, colors and flavors. A delight for the eyes and a joy for the taste buds. A delight for the starter, another for the main course. Would you care for dessert? Let's have a little something sweet. The cherry on top. The feeling of having eaten in a restaurant from a bygone era, of having taken the time to savor, of having settled my humble posterior into a culinary adventure from another time. The arts are well preserved here. And they're privy to the secrets of a café's kitchen. Thank you.
