Le cafe des musees sur Grasse

A small café-restaurant opposite the Fragonard Museum, theoretically open from 9 am to 6 pm, with a charming little shaded terrace. We arrived at 1 pm. The welcome was rather cold, and the menu was on a chalkboard. The metal chairs on the terrace were uncomfortable. There were many well-prepared salads, but a poor selection of main courses. I ended up ordering a meager croque monsieur with salad (they don't serve fries here), which took an hour to arrive! I should mention that I asked for it without pesto sauce (I'm intolerant to garlic), while my friend received his quickly with pesto. The cook supposedly had a problem. I saw him come rushing down the outside steps from the first floor, clearly unhappy. The dish was finally served with apologies from the waitress. The croque monsieur was cold and hard, made from toasted supermarket white bread with a slice of ham and cheese! The toilets are accessible via an outside staircase on the first floor. Completely unsuitable for the elderly and people with reduced mobility. However, the pink sorbet was very good. They refused to serve customers at 2 PM! Very noisy because it's right next to the road. Well, a rare bad experience in this beautiful, yet very touristy, city.

A cafe and restaurant with delicious food and drinks is nearby, along with a perfume manufacturing and sales showroom, a children's park, and of course, several other restaurants in the area.

We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance, and what a delightful surprise! From the outside, it looks like any other restaurant, but once inside, the decor is truly exceptional and creates a wonderful atmosphere. The waitresses are lovely, attentive, and incredibly kind to their customers. The service is very quick, and the dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. We especially enjoyed the stuffed cabbage—it was absolutely excellent! The menu is intentionally small, but that's precisely what makes it special: the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are homemade. The portions are generous, and the presentation is impeccable. A truly wonderful discovery made entirely by chance, which we wholeheartedly recommend!

We had lunch after visiting the International Perfume Museum with my husband and daughter. We had a wonderful meal: the food was exquisite, the decor was elegant, and the service was quick and friendly. We highly recommend it.

A great, simple, and efficient spot right in the heart of Grasse. Café des Musées is open continuously from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Sunday, with the option of dining inside or on the terrace. The welcome was very friendly, the service quick, and the restaurant clean. The menu is presented on a chalkboard, featuring daily specials that go beyond simple platters. I had the karaage chicken with Cantonese rice for €20, my friends had the octopus for €19, and a Caesar salad: everything was delicious, well-presented, and above all, very reasonably priced. The brownie for dessert was generous and indulgent. The location is central, with parking nearby, and the place is perfect for lunch or an afternoon snack of crêpes. It's not haute cuisine, but the value for money is truly excellent. A pleasant and convenient spot that I wholeheartedly recommend for dining in Grasse.
