A very good restaurant recommended by a friend. The homemade fries are a big plus, and the service is excellent, especially from the young seasonal staff. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the meat wasn't cooked perfectly—some pieces were overcooked—and the quality of the ingredients was lacking, but I expected that from a brasserie on the marina.

We were all pleased. The dishes were served quickly, which couldn't be said for other guests. Many left because they didn't get their dishes. It was noticeably uncoordinated. The waiters were confused about who had been served and who hadn't, and who had ordered what. We ordered tomatoes with burrata and a main course of entrecote and tuna. It was enough to keep us from going hungry.

As a regular customer for the past two years, I've finally taken the time to share my opinion about Calypso. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time in La Rochelle with excellent value for money.
For the food, I especially recommend the mussels with chorizo, the roasted Camembert, or the farmhouse burger. Otherwise, I've never been disappointed. You can go there without hesitation. The owner sets the tone for his entire team, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome. I highly recommend it.

2 cocktails and 1 very good mocktail
1 Ocean menu with warm goat cheese salad as a starter + mussels with chorizo + homemade fries and Dame Blanche for dessert
A Caesar salad as a main course + a peach Melba for dessert
And 1 oriental pizza without vegetables
For a total of €78
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the staff was incredibly kind and smiling, the dishes were generous and delicious
It was a pleasure to eat in this restaurant located near the port

Honestly, incredible! We come once or twice a year and the food is always amazing. But today we were surprised. The portions are incredibly generous (I couldn't even finish my main course, and the dessert was even bigger!), plus it's delicious and not very expensive—around €15 for a main course and dessert (I'm used to exorbitant prices in my area, but still, this is cheap). And they serve quickly too.

We ordered the oysters (very good) and the mussels with blue cheese, which lacked flavor. The sauce was good but not intense enough, and we ended up with some rather bland mussels. The fries were decent, but nothing special. Otherwise, the service was quick.

We had a very good meal at a reasonable price. The servers were efficient, although we're still waiting for our carafe of water 😅
Otherwise, the portions were generous and the food was delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a good meal in Les Minimes.
