After playing at the Théâtre à l'Ouest next door, we came to dinner at Carlotta.
Warm welcome from the owner.
Very attentive service.
A dozen oysters and a glass of Chardonay to start the meal off right.
The setting is chic and cozy. The Carlotta is a very pleasant brasserie and the dishes are tasteful.
This evening, we're going back: I'm going to taste my Tripes, "Tripière d'Or 2024" :)

Le Carlotta, brasserie réputée sur les quais à Caen, à la déco désuète , nous a vraiment déçus. Rien n’était franchement mauvais mais rien n’était non plus franchement bon: de la brasserie classique sans le petit twist qui te donne envie de revenir. Si l’on excepte les tripes, les autres plats manquaient de générosité. En revanche la générosité se retrouve sur l’addition, bien plus assaisonnée que certains de nos plats.

A very nice restaurant with a very good friendly atmosphere and a perfect welcome, both in terms of service and cuisine, everything was top notch and delicious.

I was left with a good impression from my previous visits, it is clear that the quality does not last, we faced a host of bad points, deplorable service, sluggish or missing seafood platter, gray shrimp , clams or clams, langoustines...
for 80 euros, just frozen whelk shrimp, a few oysters, half a dry crab and half a starving lobster,
the owner understood my astonishment at such poor quality products and offered a few additional oysters and shrimps, but that does not compensate for such a disappointing offer.

Restaurant very well located, on the quays, a stone's throw from the city center. Refined cuisine, efficient service. The Parisian restaurant-style atmosphere is chic, with cloth tablecloths and napkins. It's becoming rare. Daily menu starter, main course, dessert at 24 euros. Perfect

Disappointed because we didn't find the Carlotta from the 90s/2000s. Decor,
minimalist welcome and service. Appetizer: an accra of saithe... period. Sweetbreads purée for 36 euros...lack of creativity and gastronomy. Excellent dessert with profiteroles. In short, poor value for money. Unfortunately we will not be returning there.

Impeccable service! Delicious and quality meal. Homemade is felt on the plate. Special mention for the octopus and the mango/passion fruit dessert. It was exquisite.

Nous avions décidé de venir fêter notre anniversaire de mariage et nous avons été déçus
J'ai pris une bouchée à la reine dont tous les éléments étaient trop cuits
Accueil minimaliste. Ce restaurant est devenu sans chaleur.
Nos assiettes sont débarrassés alors que nous avions même pas fini.
Qu'est devenue la brasserie joyeuse et dynamique ?
