Absolutely amazing. The best foie gras I ever had, each dish was an absolute feast. The servers were very helpful and knowledgeable about their great wine selection.

We came three adults, one child on a Saturday evening The staff is very kind, kind, very welcoming Traditional dishes, and very very good I just regret having passed this restaurant several times, without stopping, thinking that it was very small, even though the room is all length and length. We ate classic roasted andouillette Duck, confit, Boudin, grilled As well as a meal for a child, with a very good steak, minced Bouché, the bill is completely reasonable We will come back without hesitation

Characteristic and welcoming place, nice menu (albeit short) and great selection of wines. Really good and well made dishes, kind and professional service. Prices average for the city. Advised!

Here I ate the best andouillette of my trip to France. The mousse au chocolat was excellent and the service was warm. I would definitely come back.

Very nice setting. We had reservations for a Friday evening. Very good dishes. The fries are homemade and delicious. Good place to try.

Une première virée a Bordeaux, déambulation dans le quartier des restos, et on tombe par hasard sur le carreau ! Nous avons été attiré par les plats traditionnels. Pas déçu du tout! Un très bon accueil des serveuses. Nous avons pris le foie gras je recommande il est exquis. Nous avons terminé sur la cuisse de canard, de bonne qualité. Les portions sont généreuses.

5 out of 5 as it offered traditional French food in a lovely place. Yes a bit pricey but we were on holiday so who cares. Great Foie Gras terrine, duck and sausage. Also with good wine. Worth a visit.

02/10/2024: Discovered this last week during our stay in Bordeaux and let me tell you that I haven’t tasted something so delicious in years! Everything was delicious, the roasted chicken, potatoes, roasted red and green peppers , the Greek salad ! My husband being British didn’t understand why it was a bit pricey but when he tasted the food, he realised - this is about quality food and knowing the artisans who are producing the food! Nice work, great team ! We will be back for more ☺️
20/09/2024: This is for food to take away and prepare/warm up at home. The tables/chairs in the pictures are not there anymore. There is no seating inside and they cannot heat up the food for takeaway/picnic so although the food looks delicious we couldn't stay to eat!

Le Bistro des Grands Hommes

16/12/2024: Passing through the city center and in front of Le Bistrot des Grands Hommes, the dish of the day tempts us. The room is full, so we have a drink on the outdoor terrace while a table becomes available. Beautiful flank steak with pepper sauce, homemade fries + bowl of salad for €14. Honestly, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. A rum baba for dessert which, as we were told when ordering, is not really one since it is made on the basis of the financiers they make to serve with the coffees. Well soaked, this dessert is very good. Rum baba-style financier. Everything is homemade, the welcome and the service are perfect.
12/12/2024: I think the bistrot des grands hommes is one of the best coffees in Bordeaux. It has recently been completely renovated with taste and very high quality. The sound and musical ambiance is perfect. The server Loïc is incredibly helpful and friendly. The room and the terrace are both very pleasant. The coffee is good. The espresso and the long coffee are both charged at €2.20, the same price as the other cafés on the square, with the exception of another which charges them at €2.50. Coffee is served with a delicious homemade financier. A truly perfect moment. THANKS.
