A very pleasant restaurant with a cozy atmosphere; the nautical-themed room is lovely. The food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients. The only slight drawback is the limited selection of desserts.

It's surprising to find such a place in this small town. The food is high quality, the presentation is excellent, and the price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is intimate; you dine under the watchful eyes of stars from the 60s and 70s, with a very pleasant retro soundtrack playing in the background.

Passing through Carhaix, we had a truly wonderful meal. The foie gras is absolutely incredible. The portions are generous. The staff and the welcome were very friendly. Absolutely nothing to criticize about the food. Lamb shank, beef skewers, giant salads... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Go without hesitation! 😀

What a lovely Sunday lunch on a day out cycling. No reservation but we were still welcomed. Good choice of menus and really delicious food. All 3 courses were great. Service wasn't particularly fast, but it was busy and we were not in any hurry. We left happy.

A wonderful discovery! Charming welcome, superb cuisine, I particularly recommend the scallops with orange reduction! A place to remember, we will return with great pleasure now that we live nearby! Thank you for a lovely evening!

La Cantine des Chefs

15/07/2026: I like the place. Friendly staff, but the food is a bit bland. The jar concept leads to them cooking and reheating rather mushy dishes. Kind of like baby food. The pastries look better than they taste. Some seem almost like they came straight from the freezer (the "Tatin-style" tart, for example). I go back because there isn't much else in Carhaix and the waitresses are cool, but the reheated dishes lack character. Two years later: I still go there for coffee because I've always liked cafes with large windows and no alcoholic drinks, but I don't get cakes anymore because they don't vary enough.
11/07/2026: The welcome was very warm, and the menu was decent. However, we were very disappointed that there was no air conditioning at all, especially during this period of intense heat. It's disrespectful to both the staff and the customers!
