The best restaurant in every respect that I've been to in the Saumur region for several years. Professional and friendly service, refined and creative cuisine (a touch more side dishes perhaps?), a warm and cozy atmosphere—what more could you ask for! I'm very critical and always find something to criticize, but here, I must admit that everything was perfect. A big thank you to the whole team; we will be back.

Excellent restaurant! There were four of us meeting up for New Year's lunch and we had a wonderful time at Le Carrousel. The food was refined, delicious, and generous, as were the wine and desserts! The staff was friendly and very pleasant in a lovely setting. I highly recommend it.

A very pleasant restaurant, with period architecture featuring tufa stone both inside and out, located near the Cadre Noir (away from the overly touristy areas). The decor and ambiance are purely equestrian-themed (lots of regulars), the service is impeccable, but above all, the food is superb – the dishes are beautifully presented and stylish! In short, I absolutely recommend it 👍🏻

13/03/2026: Disappointed by this restaurant. The Savoyard pizza was loaded but lacked any refinement. The crust was overcooked. However, the portions were generous. The waitress was very pleasant, but the owner was unwelcoming. I won't be returning to this place.
02/03/2026: A very warm welcome. Typical bistro decor. A very pleasant place. We ate fouées (a type of flatbread), which were delicious. Various dishes are available on the menu. Affordable value for money. I recommend this restaurant.

12/04/2026: The fouees weren't golden enough. The fromage blanc was very grainy and acidic. The crumble topping was very thick. The coffee was served cold. The water for the tea was barely lukewarm. An experience we won't repeat.
