Excellent stay, highly recommended! We stayed at Hotel Castellan in Châtel for a weekend with my company colleagues (around 10 of us), and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The rooms were clean, cosy, and very comfortable, and the location is perfect, beautiful views, easy access to the village, and great connections to the ski pistes. Everything was very convenient after long days on the slopes. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both were really good: delicious, generous, and exactly what you need after a full ski day. What really made the difference was the staff, always friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. They made us feel very welcome throughout the whole stay. I would highly recommend Hotel Castellan, and we’re already looking forward to coming back, either with my family or with friends. We truly fell in love with Châtel and this hotel. Thank you, Hotel Castellan, and see you again very soon!

We just spent a wonderful week at the family-run Hotel Le Castellan with a beautiful mountain view 😊 There were two families of us, and we were able to take advantage of the two adjoining rooms, perfect for families with children 🤗 We truly felt at home. We happily opted for the half-board option (breakfast and dinner). Everything is homemade, a real treat and so comfortable after long days of skiing. The hotel is close to the village center, shops, and the slopes. We will definitely be back; thank you so much to the whole team 🥰

A short 4-night stay with the family. We had three rooms... beautifully decorated and very well-kept by Sisters Chrystel and Marie-France. Always with a smile and Brother Laurent's good cooking. It's a joy to return at the same time and the pleasure of recharging our batteries in this family-run hotel that we've known for 50 years! Thank you for everything and keep it up...and look forward to next year. Kisses!

Le Grizzly

17/02/2026: As regulars at Le Grizzli for over 10 years, we've known several owners. This lunchtime, we dropped by on a whim and were doubly delighted: we were able to enjoy everything we were hoping for in terms of main course and dessert in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with very pleasant people. The meat is excellent; there are three of us meat lovers, and the rib-eye steaks were simply monstrously good and tender. The pepper and mushroom sauces were to die for (that's saying something...). Plus, we managed to get a rare treat for dessert: the génépi ice cream sundae with génépi liqueur (that's THE deciding factor for us), and as a bonus, the lady introduced us to génépi koffee... thrilled from start to finish, we'll be back without hesitation! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
